Background:
TUV SUD is a German headquartered testing, certification, auditing and advisory company with 25,000 employees across more than 1,000 locations.
Firco has worked on both internal and external projects for TUV SUD in active working environments.
The brief:
Firco was appointed to carry out an office refurbishment and reconfiguration at TUV SUD’s Fareham location. Its existing site consisted of small offices and a dated boardroom. The client wanted to transform the space into two large, contemporary boardrooms and an open plan office with a breakout space.
How the project was delivered:
Firco was responsible for the design, construction and fit of all elements of the new office. The end result was a modern and sleek workspace which met the original brief and the client’s expectations.
The project began with demolition work on some of the existing site including the removal of all glass and plasterboard which was later recycled.
As this was an active working environment, Firco made sure to minimise disruption to the client and completed the project within the agreed timeframe.
The client wanted to preserve its existing suspended ceiling system so work focused on replacing the tiling with new and improved DB rated tiles. ‘Firco line partition systems’ were installed with double-glazed windows and integral blind modules. Firco also provided bespoke audio set-up for the boardroom.
The client had a long-term electrical contractor who Firco worked in partnership with to install new lighting and extraction.
